Dr Kate Anthony, FBACP, is a leading expert on the use of technology in therapy, coaching and the helping professions.
I qualified as a psychotherapist from the University of Greenwich, London, UK in 2001, with my MSc Thesis on The Nature of the Online Therapeutic Relationship. I have trained practitioners and organisations worldwide in online therapy for over fifteen years. I am co-editor and co-author of four textbooks on the subject, as well as numerous articles, chapters and journals. I am a Fellow of BACP and Past-President and Fellow of ISMHO. I am also Special Advisor on Online Coaching for the BACP Coaching Division, and a qualified Coach.
I am co-founder of the Online Therapy Institute, and was Managing Editor of TILT Magazine (Therapeutic Innovations in Light of Technology). My doctorate was “Developing Counselling and Psychotherapy in the Age of Technology and the Internet” with Middlesex University/Metanoia Institute.
I live on a widebeam barge named Whole of the Moon on the Grand Union Canal, London, with my partner, step-daughter, cat and two chickens.
